In Totara for Art Soiree we are tie dying t-shirts. At the Art Soiree, our t-shirts will be up for auction along with lots of other art from other classes.
We bought the dye already made so we don't have to make it. The tie dye t-shirt I want to make is a pink crumple design. To make this, we have to soak the shirt in hot water, and crumple it up into a ball. Then you just add the dye all over the shirt so there aren't any white parts, then you just put it in a plastic bag for 6-8 hours (or overnight). The next day, or 6-8 hours later, hang the shirt up to dry with newspaper on the floor so it won't drip everywhere. Then, your shirt will be ready for wear, but I wouldn't wear mine for a day or two just so you don't get dye on you.
